LASER REFRACTIVE SURGERY

This group of procedures has revolutionized the surgical treatment of common visual difficulties such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Compared to older techniques, the current Lasik procedure is fast, safe, and very effective. In our office, over 94% of patients achieve 20/20 distance vision without glasses or contacts after Lasik is performed.

WHY COME TO US?

By examining your eyes and vision and asking about your lifestyle and occupation, it's possible that we may be your best source of information on the safety and efficacy of this miraculous new therapy. Our office has the latest diagnostic equipment that can help determine if Lasik is right for you. While the surgeons with whom we work have the highest standards and ethics, we feel strongly that the input of a doctor other than the potential surgeon can assure you that you are making a smart choice in considering laser surgery. In our office we can assist you with every aspect of Lasik but the actual procedure itself and the convenience of coming to our office for your pre-op and post-operative care will not cost you one dollar more! We will be happy to talk to you about Lasik during our general examination. We can also advise you as to the utility of the newer Laser techniques such as "Wavefront" and "Intralase." Find out if thin-flap Lasik would be of benefit to you.

NOT ALL SURGEONS ARE CREATED EQUAL!

We work closely with 3 of the most experienced laser surgeons in the country. They have developed some of the latest laser surgical techniques and have each performed over 25,000 laser refractive procedures while working right here in the Bay Area. We can perform all the pre-operative assessments right in our office and then arrange for your surgery with the best!

WHAT ABOUT NEAR VISION AND LASER SURGERY?

Just about everyone has seen a friend or relative reach for reading glasses, but have you ever considered when this will happen to you? Or, maybe it's already happened. What about Laser surgery? Can it fix this near vision problem? The answer currently is no! Laser surgery does not directly fix your need for help focusing up close; however there may be ways to avoid problems with near vision after Lasik just as there is with contact lenses. After our exam is complete, we can advise you as to whether your near vision can be helped by Lasik.
